Marseille will be without injured striker Andre-Pierre Gignac when they entertain Chelsea. French international Gignac has not recovered from a groin injury he sustained two weeks ago. Brazilian forward Brandao is expected to deputise.

Chelsea will be without rested striker Nicolas Anelka and left-back Ashley Cole for the trip to the south of France. Both have been rested by coach Carlo Ancelotti while midfielders Yury Zhirkov and Frank Lampard have not recovered from calf and tendon injuries respectively. Brazilian defender Alex (knee) joins midfielder Yossi Benayoun (Achilles) as a long-term absentee. Italian midfielder Jacopo Sala, who turned 19 on Sunday, is included in the squad for an away Champions League game for the first time. Right-back Billy Clifford, 18, is also included along with fellow youngsters Josh McEachran, Gael Kakuta, Patrick van Aanholt and Jeffrey Bruma.

Qualifying chances

Nothing to play for. Chelsea are assured of winning the group and Marseille go through with them. Spartak will go into the Europa League and Zilina are out.
