I don't believe he'll leave and against United he showed great charcter and quality when he came on and when he was cheering and uplifting the crowd at on and off the field... I love Drogba, and I would like to see him hang up his boots in our dressing room...

Tottenham are keen to bring Didier Drogba to north London, Harry Redknapp sees the Ivorian hit-man as the answer to Spurs?s striking problems. The Chelsea man has one year to run on his current contract. Spurs have moved into pole position to land the former Marseille striker ahead of the likes of A.C Milan and Manchester City.

Drogba?s playing time has been reduced since the £50m arrival of Fernando Torres in January. A constant thorn in the side of premier league defences, Drogba?s direct style and deadly finishing has made him one of the most feared strikers in world football. Producing an impressive return of 144 goals out of 306 games for the south-west London club.

Spurs slipped out the Champions league reckoning towards the end of the campaign, the spurned opportunities in front of goal by the likes of Defoe and Crouch have in the end, cost them dearly.

According to Talk Sport, the uprooting of 33 year-old?s family which any move abroad would bring is likely to be the deciding factor in any deal. With the short move to White Hart Lane, the preferred option.
