BackJeffrey Bruma has not given up hope of eventually breaking into the Chelsea first team despite joining Hamburg on an initial season-long loan.
The 19-year-old is one of four Chelsea players to move to Hamburg this summer along withMichael Mancienne, Gokhan Tore and Jacopo Sala, following Frank Arnesen, the former sporting director at Stamford Bridge moving to the German club.
Bruma is already a full international with Holland and believes he can usurp the likes ofJohn Terry, Alex and David Luiz eventually.
He told German newspaper Bild: "In central defence there are some big names there (at Chelsea),"
"Perhaps I can play there in two or three years. I hope that I get more playing time in Hamburg."
The youngster revealed fellow countryman Nigel De Jong recommended the club to him having spent three years there himself.
"De Jong told me that it's a very good club, and very good for my development," Bruma said. "I am happy they have given me the chance."
