Bolton manager Owen Coyle is thought to be keen on opening talks with Chelsea over an extended loan deal for Daniel Sturridge.
The 21-year-old has already got two goals to his name, in just two appearances, for the Trotters after completing his loan move from the Blues on transfer deadline day.
Coyle has reportedly been so impressed with what he has seen of Sturridge, that he is keen to tie up a deal to keep the former Manchester City youngster on loan at the Reebok Stadium until the end of next season.
With Chelsea now having Fernando Torres amongst their ranks it would seem as though Sturridge's chances of first team football at Stamford Bridge are slim.
With Bolton set to lose Johan Elmander at the end of the season, his contract runs out in the summer, it would seem the perfect fit to keep Sturridge on loan and than only have to bring in one more striker if the Swede does in fact decide to leave.
