BackChelsea's new manager Andre Villas-Boas is not panicking that they have yet to strengthen their vastly-talented squad.
The Blues pounced for the ex-Porto boss earlier this summer, although no new faces have followed after his appointment.
Chelsea have seen two bids for Tottenham's Luka Modric rejected, while rivals Manchester United have made three big-name signings.
Villas-Boas insists his squad do not need a major overhaul having enjoyed a number of successful seasons in recent years.
The Portuguese tactician has revealed the club are adopting a different approach to transfers and that they are evaluating things carefully.
"You have to take into account in six years the amount of trophies this club has won and the dramatic change this club has suffered in the last eight years, it was a dramatic change that brought success," he commented.
"It doesn't mean that we are not looking to strengthen the squad or to bring players in, it just means a different approach to the market. We have 15 more days before Stoke and 31 days before the market closes.
"The players are not under assessment because they are successful on their own, it just means we need to evaluate the sectors that we might need strengthening and try to do it wisely and properly.
"On that front we are pretty happy and in August I think we will take the decisions that we need to take for us to be ready for the first day of the season."
