7 reasons why Chelsea are favorites to land Aguero
Publish piece of news7 reasons why Chelsea are favorites to land Aguero PIECE OF NEWS
BackIn the past we have heard many rumours about the future of Atletico Madrid's star Sergio Aguero, who has handed in a formal transfer request.
Chelsea are looking for a new coach and then comes the summer major overhaul I think, its more than obvious that we need fresh blood especially up front, and one of the many options is want-away Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero, who isn`t happy at Madrid.
Real Madrid along with Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus appear to be favorites for his signature, but I believe that Chelsea is the most likely destination for him and here are the 7 reasons:
1. Atletico Madrid's general manager Gil Martin has said that Aguero won't be sold to their arch rivals Real Madrid.
''We agreed he could not go to Real Madrid and he will not go to Real Madrid, even if they pay the clause. I'm sure he will not go there.'
2. Real Madrid's president is not interested in Aguero, says Gil Marin
''He (Perez) has told me he has no intention of signing Aguero and I do not doubt him.'
'Firstly due to the good relationship we have personally and secondly due to the clubs' relationship.''
3. Aguero will have to lower his wage demands at Real Madrid, its speculated that he currently earns £7m and is the highestd footballer at Atletico, in Real Madrid the only more than £7 million earners are Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, their captain Casillas earns around 7 million , and I'm sure he wont be earning more than Ramos, Pepe, Benzema, Xabi Alonso and the other stars which earn 'only' £5 million per year with bonuses.
So if he goes to Real or Juventus he will have to lower his wage demands by £2-3 million, and I think the only clubs who can match his wage demands are Chelsea and Manchester City.
4. Juventus are the only club that have shown interest in Aguero according to Gil Marin, but I think the club from Turin isn't an option for him because he wants to play in the Champions League, and Juventus doesn't even play in the Europe League.
5. Sergio Aguero has suggested he would welcome a move to Chelsea in the close season after lavishing praise on Blues stars Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard. He is quoted in the Daily Express saying:
'Chelsea are a great club. They have become one of the most feared in Europe over recent years.
'I look at players like Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard and they have been - and still are - the best players in their positions in the world. I could really learn from players like that, there is no doubt."
"London would be a really amazing city to live in as well, myself and my wife could be really happy there."
6. Aguero had been strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, but he appeared to rule himself out of an Eastlands deal remarking,
'Carlos Tevez is doing really well at Manchester City but, for me, it is about joining a club who are ready to challenge for honours. City are not ready yet.
7. After all its all about winning trophies and that make Chelsea firm favorites for his signature
'What I need to consider is where I can win things and I know for sure I can win things at Chelsea. You look at their players and you are excited about any future you may have there.'
I personally will love Aguero to form a successful partnership with former teammate Fernando Torres at Chelsea.
